Shimano Recalls Stradic Reels Over Handle Defect

Shimano recalls 12,000 Stradic spinning reels due to a potential handle defect that could cause the handle to separate during use.

Affected models include Stradic FL 2500-5000 sizes manufactured between March and August 2025. Serial numbers beginning with “5FL” fall under the recall.

No injuries reported. Shimano offers free replacement handles through authorized dealers or direct mail.

Check your reel’s serial number on the spool. Contact Shimano customer service at 1-800-SHIMANO for replacement parts.
