Lake Fork Crappie Bite On Fire This Week

Anglers report excellent crappie fishing at Lake Fork this week with limits coming before noon most days.

Fish are staging on brush piles in 12-18 feet of water. Minnows under slip floats outproducing jigs 3-to-1 according to local guides.

Best areas include the 515 bridge, Birch Creek, and the main lake points near the dam. Fish move shallower during overcast conditions.

The bite should continue through mid-February as crappie stage for the spawn.
